Orhan Terzi, known professionally as DJ Quicksilver, was born on June 28, 1964, in Trabzon, Turkey. He moved to Hattingen, Germany with his family in the late 1960s and began his music career working with Tommaso de Donatis, releasing tracks for various record labels including Avex Trax and Positiva Records. In November 1996, DJ Quicksilver achieved significant success with the release of "Bellissima", a double A-sided single that became a hit on the UK dance charts in 1997 and reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart, earning gold certification and widespread popularity across Europe. In 1999, under the alias Watergate, he released the track "Heart of Asia". This was followed by other notable releases such as 2001's "Boombastic", which sampled Shaggy's hit song. He received an ECHO nomination for Best National Dance Act in 2002 for the single "Ameno". DJ Quicksilver has also worked as a remixer on tracks by Ian van Dahl and Faithless. Throughout his career, he has released several studio albums including Quicksilver (1997), Escape to Planet Love (1998), and Clubfiles (The Album) (2003).
