Biografia

Dyland & Lenny were a short-lived reggaeton and Latin pop duo, composed of rapper Carlos “Dyland” Castillo Cruz and singer Julio Manuel “Lenny” González Tavarez. Before trying their luck at music, both Castillo Cruz and González Tavarez tried to pursue a career in professional basketball. Their debut single, “Nadie Te Amará Como Yo,” came out in 2009 and debuted at Number 33 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs Chart. The track was also included in their 2010 debut album, My World. Produced by reggaeton powerhouse duo Luny Tunes, the full-length reached Number 13 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and received a nomination for Album of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards. A collab-heavy affair, their second album My World 2: The Secret Code arrived in 2013 and featured special appearances by reggaeton heavyweights J Alvarez, Pitbull, Yomo, and Victor Manuelle. Despite their second album's exceptional chart performance (it reached Number 2 on the Latin Rhythm Albums chart), the duo parted ways shortly after its release and both members embarked on their respective solo careers.
