Bilk

Bilk is a British alternative rock band from Chelmsford, Essex. Formed in 2015 by singer and guitarist Sol Abrahams, it included various musicians for two years before the arrival of Luke Hare on bass, then Harry Gray on drums in 2018. Once stabilized, the band released their first singles "Give Up" and "Spiked " alongside live shows. In 2019, the release of the Chipped Out EP leads to appearances at the Bearded Theory festival in England and the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany. In 2021, the band, which has built its reputation on its energetic performances, releases the Allow It EP and performs at Lous Tomlinson's Away from Home festival, before following him on his world tour. In 2022, Bilk played at the Great Escape Festival and Reading and Leeds Festivals, before releasing the EP Just Don't Work for Me, followed by their debut album of the same name, recorded on a farm near Manchester. In 2023, the band followed this up with a series of concerts between the SXSW festival in Austin (USA) and the UK. In 2024, they returned to the studio to record their second album, Essex, Drugs and Rock and Roll, released in January 2025.
