Ryan O'Shaughnessy

Ryan O'Shaughnessy was born on 27 September 1992 in Loughshinny, Skerries, County Dublin, Ireland, and began his artistic career as a child actor, portraying Mark Halpin in the soap Fair City from 2001 to 2010. After leaving the series, he pursued music, receiving training at the Billie Barry Stage School and later at the Dublin Institute of Technology and BIMM Dublin. His breakthrough came with the debut mini‑album Ryan O'Shaughnessy released on 13 August 2012, which included the self‑written single "No Name". In 2013 he won a chart battle on The Hit with "Who Do You Love?", reaching number 3 on the Irish Singles Chart. He founded Bayview Records in 2015 and released the studio album Back to Square One on 11 November 2016. In 2018 he represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest with "Together", qualifying for the final and finishing 16th. His career has included international tours, collaborations with writers such as Mark Caplice and Laura Elizabeth Hughes, and appearances in television and film, including The Voice of Ireland and Britain's Got Talent.
