The Shocks was a punk rock band from Berlin, Germany, formed in 1995 by SMail and Halle-Jan under the initial name Plastix. Their first release, the EP Too Many Kicks in '96, marked their debut in 1996. The group gained recognition through extensive touring across Europe and notable festival performances. They released several singles, EPs, and albums, including "Holiday on Zyklonbay" (1999), "Antiscene - Fehlpressung 2000" (2000), and More Cuts For You In Zero 2 (2002). The band's live presence was a significant part of their identity, culminating in their final concert, "OVER N OUT," at the SO36 venue in Berlin in 2023. Despite disbanding in 2009 and again after their last performance, The Shocks left behind a notable discography that included The 7-Inches (2003) and BRACE... BRACE... (2007), as well as post-breakup releases like The 7-Inches Pt. II (2012).
