Biografia

A hard rock act from Brisbane, Australia, The Butterfly Effect was formed in 1999 by drummer Ben Hall and guitarist Kurt Goedhart. Frontman Clint Boge joined the lineup in 2000, and The Butterfly Effect began earning a national audience with the release of a self-titled debut EP in 2001. Bassist Glenn Esmond joined the lineup in time for 2003's Begins Here, a popular debut album that peaked at Number 23 on the ARIA Albums Chart and eventually went gold. Three years later, the band peaked at Number 2 with its second full-length release, Imago, which featured the Top 10 single "A Slow Descent." Imago went gold in only eight weeks and contributed to the public's mounting anticipation for the band's third album, Final Conversation of Kings. Strongly influenced by progressive rock, Final Conversation of Kings was released in 2008 and charted at Number 3, although its creation was marred by clashes between Clint Boge and the remaining bandmates. Boge eventually left the lineup in 2012 and was temporarily replaced by singer Paul Galagher, the latter of whom first appeared on the band's 2013 single "Eyes Down." A period of inactivity followed, only to be broken by the band's reunion — with Clint Boge back in charge as the group's frontman and co-songwriter — in 2017. The Butterfly Effect toured Australia the following year and released a comeback single, "Unbroken," in 2019. Another single, "So Tired," appeared in 2021, while the band prepared to unveil a third full-length record in early 2022.
