Good Kid is a Canadian pop punk band hailing from Toronto, Ontario. The band was formed in 2015 by lead vocalist Nick Frosst, guitarists David Wood and Jacob Tsafatinos, bassist Michael Kozakov, and drummer Jon Kereliuk. They quickly gained a devoted fanbase in the local music scene with their energetic live performances and catchy, hook-laden songs. After making their debut in 2015 with the single "Nomu," which introduced the band's mascot Nomu Kid to the world, Good Kid released the tracks "Atlas" (2016), "Witches" (2017), and "Tell Me You Know" (2018) ahead of their self-titled EP in 2018. This was followed by the release of the singles "Everything Everything," "Drifting," and "Down with the King," all of which were included in their second extended play Good Kid 2 (2020). Later that year, the band experienced a surge in popularity after their music was featured on Fortnite streams, creating a controversy over DMCA claims that prompted the Toronto five-piece to clear some of their songs so streamers could use them free of charge. Following the release of "Orbit" in 2021, their track "No Time to Explain" entered the Canadian rock charts at Number 50 in 2022.
