Biografia

A woman of many talents, Brazilian singer-songwriter, actress, and film director Clarice Falcão was born on October 23, 1989, in the city of Recife. The daughter of director João Falcão and writer Adriana Falcão, she made both her acting and directorial debut in 2006 in the short films O Segundo Minuto and Dois Menos Dois. In 2007, she produced and starred in another short film titled Laços, which won Google's Project Direct contest and featured her original song "Australia." After landing a series of supporting roles on the shows A Favorita (2008), Vendemos Cadeiras (2010), and As Brasileiras (2012), Clarice Falcão rose to fame as one of the creators of Porta dos Fundos, a comedy YouTube channel that became one of the most-watched channels in Brazil in less than a year. In addition to acting, she also uploaded original songs to the channel, most of which were included in both her 2012 eponymous EP and her 2013 studio debut, Monomania. Thanks to hit singles like "Oitavo Andar" and "Eu Me Lembro," Monomania was met with great enthusiasm by the audience and was promoted through a sold-out national tour that concluded in 2014. Following the release of a cover of Destiny's Child's "Survivor" that topped the digital charts in Brazil in 2015, Clarice Falcão returned a year later with her sophomore effort Problema Meu (2016), released exclusively through streaming services. More experimental and playful than its predecessor, it marked a new phase in her songwriting career. Preceded by the singles "Minha Cabeça," "Mal pra Saúde," and "Esvaziou," the synthpop-infused Tem Conserto appeared in 2019.
