James Morrison learned his craft playing guitar in school bands and busking in Cornwall before he achieved his international breakthrough in 2006 with his first single 'You Give Me Something'. A further four more singles were released from his debut album 'Undiscovered' which went on to sell over two million copies and made Morrison the biggest-selling male solo artist of the year. The following year he won the Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist and he built on his following by proving to be an outstanding live performer, causing something of a sensation with a powerful first appearance on 'Later... With Jools Holland'.

His second album 'Songs for You, Truths for Me' confirmed his arrival as an soulful songwriter whose gruff voice disguises genuine pop appeal. He also collaborated with Jason Mraz, Nelly Furtado and Girls Aloud before releasing his third album 'The Awakening' in 2010 on which he duetted with Jessie J on 'Up'. His fourth album 'Higher Than Here' was released in 2015, earning him a number seven position in the UK Albums Chart. He revealed the title of his fifth album, 'You're Stronger Than You Know', in 2019.
