Herve Pagez

A self-taught DJ, Frenchman Hervé Pagez learned to handle the turntables in his teenage bedroom with Laidback Luke as his role model, whom he approached in 2012 for advice on his first demos. Noticed by the Emincé Records label, he produced tracks for the Uniqlo clothing brand's advertising materials and collaborated with another DJ named Kevin, with whom he produced the track "In Those Jeans". In 2014, his version of Laidback Luke's "We're Forever" brought him into contact with electro rap group Major Lazer, who asked him to remix one of their tracks. Other collaborations soon followed, as well as a slot at the Tomorrowland festival in 2016. The following year, he scored his first major international success with the track "Spicy", based on a remix of the Spice Girls' 1996 hit "Wannabe ", produced with British singer Charli XCX and American producer Diplo. The track, ranked #87 in France, reaches #18 in the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs charts in the USA.
