Lazer Lloyd

Lloyd Paul Blumen, known professionally as Lazer Lloyd, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He began playing guitar at age 13 and formed his first band, Legacy, during his teens. In the early 1990s, Lloyd moved to New York and recorded a demo for Atlantic Records with his band, the Last Mavericks. Inspired by Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, he relocated to Israel, joining the Jewish rock band Reva L'Sheva and later co-founding the blues rock trio Yood. Lloyd's solo career commenced with Higher Ground in 2004. Notable albums include My Own Blues (2012), Insides Out (2014), Lazer Lloyd (2015), and Freedom's Child (2017). His self-titled album reached number 4 on Roots Music Report's blues albums chart, with the singles "Burning Thunder" and "Broken Dreams" reaching Number 1 and number 7 respectively.
