Kedon “Hitmaker” Whyte is a well-known established artist, also known for his popular productions as one of Dancehall A-lister producer. Hitmaker was born in Jamaica’s Capital and musical blooming city, Kingston, where some of Reggae’s biggest Icons have emerged and talents from around the world have come to work.
Hitmaker grew up in the Hughenden area of St. Andrew where he attended Clan Carthy Primary School before moving on to Donald Quarrie High School. At the age of 16 Hitmaker started developing his Artistry craft as an Artist where he began his musical path as a career. After High School the young Artist went on to complete a one year crash course on the Performing Arts at the Exced Community College.
After leaving college the young DJ decided to fully emerge himself into his musical career. He recorded his first Buzzing single “No Fren” in June 2009 off his own Label, HitmakerMuzik/Pablo Productions that producers and radio disc jocks began to sit up and pay attention
Hitmaker spends most of his time in the studio and if he is not in the studio he can be found networking whether is online utilizing social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook or on the road doing his own street marketing. Hitmaker will also be found in the studio producing for his self-titled label “Hitmaker Muzik” as well as generating lyrics for well-known establish artist and also younger talents.
As a Producer and Engineer, he puts nothing out except quality productions, which allowed him to progress so far. Amongst producing most of his own singles, Hitmaker has produced chart topping compilations, “Seduction Riddim” has captured various media outlets ( i.e.) Worldwide radio, Social media, Magazines, and T.V’s attention local and Internationally. The Riddim was nominated for “Riddim of the Year” at the M.I.A award and continues grabbing attention up to now. Popular titles off the compilation include: "Tiana - Broad Out", Hitmaker-"Da Look Deh" Demarco – Apartment", and “Kalado Hit Single - Bring Life Hitmaker hit them again with “Skin to Skin Riddim” ”. Followed by Intercourse riddim with the dancehall Giant Bounty Killer "Wet Weather" then move on to the smashing ‘Fornication Riddim’ getting heavily rotation in the Dancehall arena worldwide upon its release Featured Top heavy Weights Dancehall acts like Chris Martin, Spice,Kalado Vershon ,Macka Diamond, the late J Capri (rip) and veteran General Degree. Hitmaker didn’t stop their he release his first label various
artist album “hitmakermuzik Hitz Vol 1” that blew up the iTunes reggae charts peak at #5 on the iTunes reggae top 200 charts and also went on to win the top album awards at Hapilous Awards august 2017
As an artist his style, lyrics and flow can be identified with the likes of the new era Djs/Singjays in Dancehall and Reggae New Generation.
