João Paulo & Daniel

João Paulo e Daniel, a Brazilian sertanejo duo, was formed in 1980 in Brotas, São Paulo. The group consisted of José Henrique dos Reis (João Paulo) and José Daniel Camillo (Daniel). Their debut album, Amor Sempre Amor, was released in 1985. The duo achieved significant success with albums like João Paulo e Daniel Vol. 7 (1996), which included the popular cover of “Estou Apaixonado” and their final studio album, João Paulo e Daniel Vol. 8 (1997). Tragically, João Paulo died in a car accident in 1997, leading to the duo's disbandment. Posthumously, their live album Ao Vivo was released in 1997. Throughout their career, João Paulo e Daniel sold over five million records and achieved multiple platinum certifications.
