Biografia

A British boy band who discarded pouty, choreographed dance moves in favour of playing their own instruments, The Vamps became the new princes of pop in 2014, aiming to inherit One Direction's crown as the nation's favourite teen hearthrobs. Formed when James McVey discovered a YouTube video of Brad Williams playing acoustic Ed Sheeran covers and tracked him down through Facebook, Connor Ball (bass) and Tristan (drums) joined later and the group signed to Mercury Records in 2012. They supported McFly, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez on tour and built up a keen following by posting their demos online, before their debut single 'Can We Dance' and album 'Meet the Vamps' in 2014 both shot to number two in the UK Charts. Full of upbeat, sugar-coated guitar pop, 'Meet the Vamps' also produced the hits 'Wild Hearts' and 'Last Night' and the boys collaborated with American starlet Demi Lovato on 'Somebody to You' before headlining their first major world tour in 2014.

In 2015 The Vamps announced that they had launched their own record label, in collaboration with Universal and EMI, called Steady Records. Their single 'Wake Up' was their first to be released on Steady Records and the album of the same name peaked at number ten in the UK Albums Chart. They signed British band New Hope Club to their label and invited them to join them on their 2015 UK tour.

They recorded a version of the Carl Douglas hit 'Kung Fu Fighting' for the 2016 animated film 'Kung Fu Panda 3' and announced that they were working on new material. New single 'All Night' was released later in the year, with the album, released in two parts, being released in 2017. 'Night & Day' - released as 'Night Edition' and 'Day Edition' - were released in July and December 2017, respectively.
