Emeth, a Belgian brutal death metal band, was founded in Halen, Limburg, Belgium, in October 1997 by Matty Dupont on electric guitar and Tom Kimps on vocals. Initially unnamed, they adopted "Emeth," Hebrew for "truth." Their first demo, The Call of Siren, released in 1998, gained attention from Screech Records, followed by Breathing the Unclean and Disciple, both in 1999. In 2004, Emeth debuted their full-length album, Insidious, through Brutal Bands, and extensively performed at festivals like Obscene Extreme and Deathmetal.be Fest, as well as a U.S. tour with Internal Suffering. Their second album, Reticulated, produced by Daniel Bergstrand, was released in 2006. Subsequent albums include Telesis (2008) and Aethyr (2014).
