An R&B vocal quintet out of Brooklyn, New York that released a smattering of successful singles in the 1990s, Men of Vizion began to take shape at the La Guardia High School of Music and Art when all of the original members were students there. Courtney Bradley, Brian Deramus, Desmond Greggs, Corley Randolph, and George Spencer III first began singing together as Vizion in 1992 when they were all teenagers. Though they started as a gospel group, they seued into R&B and took every opportunity to perform at local venues, churches, and talent contests. Eventually Bradley left and was replaced by Pranthan “Spanky” Williams, who became the group’s lead singer. They came to the attention of producer Teddy Riley after working with Queen Latifah, and the quintet signed to Michael Jackson’s record label. They changed their name to Men of Vizion and released their ballad heavy debut album, 1996’s Personal. Their gentle lyrical approach was typified their biggest single, “House Keeper”, a number 13 R&B hit about a man’s willingness to do chores for his woman. Other standout tracks on the record included “Do Thangz” and a cover of “Show You the Way to Go”.
Deramus, Greggs, and Randolph departed the group and were replaced before 1999’s MOV, which did not produce a successful single or sell very many units, leading to the group’s end shortly after its release.
