Ton-E is a music producer from Phoenix, AZ that started his music journey as a child in the 80’s. Growing up, Ton-E’s parents had him listen to a wide variety of music like Rock & Roll, 80’s pop, Motown, and all the popular music at the time.
Ton-E remembers the first time he heard Run-DMC’s “Sucker MC’s”. This was his first introduction to Hip Hop, and the raw energy and impressive production had him hooked. Ton-E draws inspiration from all of the diverse music from his past, but there is a special place in his heart for the art of Hip Hop.
Ton-E saw the impact of music’s energy on others while performing as a DJ. That impact and energy is what fueled Ton-E to start creating his own music. What started out as a hobby grew into a passion and ear for the sound. The musical influences of his past bleed through his music. When it comes to his style, Ton-E does not like to be put into a box. There is no genre you can label Ton-E as. His ability to create impactful music of any genre is what sets him apart from other artists.
Ton-E has been releasing music on his Soundcloud for the past year, mastering his sound and gearing up for the future. Ton-E’s upcoming EP, Resonance I, is slated to be released in Q1 of 2022. Resonance I is a 6 song EP broken down into 3 different ‘chapters’’. Each chapter represents a feeling that correlates with the sound and the style of the music.
