Eddy de Pretto's career was born in 2017 with Kid, a first EP written like a punch. Delivering his lyrics alone on stage with a simple iPhone to accompany him, he questions differences, shackles and virility, asserting himself on the fringes but already embracing a noise that rumbles and agitates society. The response was radical, the craze immediate. A year later, his first album, Cure (3x platinum), took part in the evolution of his generation, its growing awareness and the positions it was taking. The second album, À tous les bâtards (2021, platinum), was born of this inclusive movement from self to others.
In early 2023, Eddy de Pretto was invited to stage an original, dystopian live creation for twelve pianos for Radio France's Hyper Weekend Festival: Love Factory. At the same time, Eddy began thinking about his next album, which he wanted to move away from drawer-style lyrics and subjects that depicted society. One theme stood out: Love. True to his powerful, raw writing style, the singer-songwriter composed ‘CRASH CŒUR’. A hybrid opus, between tenderness and violence, teased by a series of concerts during the summer of 2023, with a giant loudspeaker on which Eddy de Pretto reveals raw lyrics set to R'n'B sounds. The genesis of this new opus was a question: how do you deliver your feelings, as ardently as possible, in the most honest way possible?
