Turning praise songs into soaring, euphoric, dance-pop anthems, Australian Christian rockers Planetshakers reshaped worship music into high energy, spiritual raves, spreading their religious messages in contemporary, forward-thinking ways. Originally formed by a group of young Christians during a conference held in Adelaide, pastors Russell and Sam Evans moved down to Melbourne to open The Planetshakers Pentocostal Church in 1997 and, from there, the band grew from a choir into a globe-trotting, arena-filling, religious rock experience. The church became the fastest growing congregation in Australian history with over 12,000 predominantly young members, and the band helped attract a new generation to Christianity with performances full of gospel joy and unifying messages of hope.

BJ Pridham, Rudy Nikkerud, Josh Ham, Andy Harrison, Chelsi Nikkerud and Zach Kellock became regular members over the years and the group have gone on to release over 30 albums since their debut 'When the Planet Rocked' in 2000. Former 'Australian Idol' winner Guy Sebastian also sang with the band for a year and their shows regularly drew in large audiences as albums 'Open Up the Gates', 'Limitless' and 'Endless Praise: Live' were acclaimed by the Christian rock community. They also released the children's album 'Nothing Is Impossible' and the Spanish language records 'Sé Quién Eres Tú' featuring Su Presencia and Legado, and their celebratory awakening conferences have taken them to Malaysia, South Africa and Indonesia.
