ÀVUÀ

ÀVUÀ is a Brazilian duo formed by singers, songwriters and instrumentalists Bruna Black and Jota.pê. The two artists met in 2017 while studying singing at ETEC de Artes in São Paulo, after both had already begun developing their own musical paths: Jota.pê came from a family of musicians and had released the solo album Crônicas de um Sonhador in 2015, while Bruna Black had roots in church singing and later appeared on The Voice Brasil. The duo officially began in 2019 with “Conte Comigo,” a Jota.pê song featuring Bruna Black that led them to turn their collaboration into a shared project. In 2020, ÀVUÀ recorded “A Partida” for Onze – Músicas Inéditas de Adoniran Barbosa, a tribute album built from previously unreleased Adoniran Barbosa songs. Their profile widened in 2021 with “Comum - A COLORS SHOW,” followed by the 2022 debut album Percorrer em Nós, an eight-track project centered on affection, Black experience, harmony-led arrangements and contemporary Brazilian songwriting. ÀVUÀ continued with singles including “Famoso Amor” and “Dois Sóis” in 2022, “Girassol” in 2023, “Quem dirá?” in 2024 and “Bentivi (Ocër, Bone Brotherz Remix)” in 2025. In 2026, the duo released “Ludo Real,” a new single through Slap.
