Chico Freitas is a composer, singer, and guitar player from Osasco, a city in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. His first single, "Tarde" was released in 2020 through Fábricas da Cultura. This track is from the album "Pelas Canções," which is slated to be released soon and will feature ten other songs in a variety of styles, including romantic ballads, bossa nova, samba, pop, and music from the Northeast of Brazil. Freitas' music reflects his diverse and eclectic background, and shows an influence from the Brazilian Music Festivals (1965-75), as well as the Bossa Nova, Tropicália, and Clube da Esquina musical movements.
