Charles Decroix publishes his work for solo piano under the name Clintiss.
Initially recorded on an acoustic piano, since 2023 his tracks have been produced digitally in the studio, and are increasingly arranged (synthesizers, percussion, orchestra, etc.), sometimes approaching film and animated music, sometimes the song format.
"For me, composing a piece for solo piano is the fruit of a long journey and quite demanding work... My personal challenge is to create a piano language that I can't find or hear elsewhere, a certain fusion between classical technique and the musical repertoires that have nourished me the most and still nourish me today - pop, rock, chanson, electro... I'm trying to develop something unique, uniting musical universes that you wouldn't necessarily imagine could cohabit.
I believe that the piano still has a lot of territory to explore, and that the hybridity of genres and techniques allows us to pursue this exciting exploration of the instrument."
