The Nation Blue is a rock band formed in Tasmania and based in Melbourne, Victoria. Their early releases included the cassette '01 (1997) and EP Descend in 1999. The band gained traction with subsequent albums such as Protest Songs (2007) and Rising Waters (2009). They toured extensively, both nationally in Australia and internationally in Brazil, America, and Japan, supporting notable acts like Helmet and Foo Fighters. In 2009, The Nation Blue won the 'Best Independent Hard Rock/Punk Album' award at the AIR Awards for their album Rising Waters. Their discography also includes Black (2016) and Blue (2016).
