Umeå Bodø composer Udo Mechels met Dutch pianist Joep Beving on a tv-show. Beving's music and personal story inspired Udo to write and release piano music himself. That’s why, in December 2017, he released Sunken Dreams, a song he wrote during his wife’s rehearsal for a theatre play. Nothing really happened, until two years later, at the start of the worldwide pandemic, when Mechels felt the need to promote his 2017 track. He started composing and releasing new melodies, but most of all, he fell in love with piano music.
Udo: "My songs and improvisations are inspired by life, nature, people, animals, music,... and of course, by the intriguing Scandinavia." Umeå is a city in eastern Sweden, known for its museums and cultural institutions. Bodø is the capital of Nordland county, Norway. It is located just north of the Arctic Circle. Happy listening!
