Renowned author and composer Manon Lisa has been writing songs for other artists for years. She has collaborated with Céline Dion, Prudence, Grand Corps Malade, The Avener, Maëlle, and many others. In 2022, she ventured into social media, publishing videos in which she sets poems by classic and contemporary female poets to music, as well as her own texts. Through these videos, she unveils an intimate and warm universe, inviting us to a poetic pause, a moment suspended in her words.
Her debut single, "Insolation," is an ode to the languor of summer in the shadow of a lost love.
"He was supposed to join me in Corsica, but he never came. I had to invent the fateful continuation of our story that only lasted a beautiful season... It's always better to cry with your feet in the water rather than in the Parisian rain."
Hypnotic ukulele, vintage bass, and captivating drums intertwine amid the waves, in a production crafted by Silvio Lisbonne and Stan Neff (Bon Entendeur, Polo & Pan, Coline Rio...).
"I prefer to speak in the verses rather than sing because the words sound more genuine, and I can better express what I feel. I feel like I'm truly addressing someone."
