Hunter, a Polish heavy metal band, was formed in 1985 in Szczytno, Poland. The group released their debut studio album, Requiem, in 1995, combining heavy and thrash metal with classical influences. In 2003, Hunter released their second studio album, Medeis, developing the style they describe as “soul metal.” The band followed with T.E.L.I... (2005) and HellWood (2009). Their albums Królestwo (2012) and Imperium (2013) were both certified Gold in Poland, with Imperium reaching number one on the Polish albums chart. Hunter subsequently released NieWolnOść (2016) and Arachne (2019), the latter featuring tracks such as “Arachne,” “Gollum,” “Figlarz Bugi,” and “Casus Belli.” The band marked its 35th anniversary with the three-disc compilation XXXV (Remastered Versions) (2020) and later released the Ukrainian-language single “Коли вмираю…” (2022) in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
