FENCES \\\\ ARE A FOUR-PIECE ALT-ROCK BAND FROM PARIS, FRANCE.
Formed in 2022 from the vibrant energy of eastern Paris, FENCES \\\\ embodies the distinctly French flair for creating stadium rock without selling out stadiums.
Whilst their music was born in the cobbled streets of the City of Light, their powerful and luminous rock leans more toward the Scottish alternative scene or American emo rock of the 2000s; a time when guitars still dominated the airwaves with distortion and finely crafted choruses.Taking inspiration from the rock legends of yesteryear, FENCES \\\\ is firmly grounded in the present, shaped by a generation that disregards genres, breaks rules, and rejects all barriers.
The newly released "Living Out Of A Suitcase" EP completes a triptych that began with "Constant Rebirth" (2023) and "The Great Listener" (2024), revealing a solid body of work of 10 explosive and emotional tracks that represents an introspective and tortuous journey for the four-piece, exploring highest highs, lowest lows, inner demons, self disenchantment, unwavering altruism, deepest regret and redemption.
Produced as a family effort at Alias Studio with Bertrand Poncet and Bastien Lafaye (from Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!—a French band that has gained international recognition), FENCES \\\\ music is a constant clash between crashing guitars and delicate arrangements of brass and strings, a hallmark of the band’s style.
