The french band MONNAIE DE SINGE has been around since 1995, the group quickly turned to their own "Rock en Français" compositions and will produce three albums over this period (Inchivala, la vie de Rose and Saison 3). In 2015, the group took a turn and turned to a more progressive rock sung in English, this choice with a change in vocals and the arrival of a keyboard, will allow MDS to open up to a national audience and international, to be able to access French festivals with the Progressive Rock label (Crescendo, Prog en Beauce, le toll du Rock, Quadrifonic, chez Paulette, etc.). During this period, two new albums will be released.
2019 marks the arrival of a new bassist.
After a fifth album alerting us to the climate emergency, MDS offers us a sixth livery The Story of Rose Ola Seks which takes us to the borders of human madness, by telling us the tragic story of Rose Ola Seks, a Norwegian tortured by diabolical impulses. If the previous album had shown that the group was gradually gaining its letters of nobility in the French musical landscape, it is undeniable that with this sixth work, it signs there a masterful demonstration of an already significant talent but which only required 'to explode.
