Augustin d’Assignies is a pianist and composer. He began his career playing in the jazz clubs of Paris, his hometown, then became a touring musician with several celebrated pop artists such as Ayo and Lilly Wood and the Prick. In 2020, he shifted his focus back on the acoustic piano and started two projects of his own: a solo act under the influence of Debussy and the American minimalists, and Moonsüün, a trio performing ambient, improvised music. Augustin’s works, at once sophisticated and accessible, immerses the listener in a peaceful and dreamy form of melancholy.
