“Writing lyrics and softly humming newly found melodies got me through High School really. During classes I would try to do my tasks as quickly as possible so I had time to write afterwards, or I would just get distracted immediately. After school I would start digging through old records and searched for new artists online to find out whatever it was I liked most. From Prince, Scritti Politti (and many more) to The 1975, Lany & One Direction.”
As of right now Neil Hollyn has released his first three singles and is working towards releasing his debut EP planned to come out in 2021, featuring all new songs of a very defined sound. While still finding his place in life and music, he uses the inspiration he’s gathered throughout the years, but is also always on the lookout for new treasures. Even though he uses his notes app more than a pen, he’s an old school pop-folk/rock fanatic that is ready to put a shiny new layer on the genre he loves most.
