Luétiga, a folk music group from Cantabria, Spain, was formed in 1986 to preserve traditional Cántabro music. The ensemble began by conducting fieldwork to connect with local musicians and recover nearly lost musical traditions. Their breakthrough came in 1988 at the Folk-Segovia festival, leading to their debut album La última cajiga (1992). In 1994, they released Nel "El Vieju", featuring songs like "Nel el Vieju" and "Adiós Cantabria, adiós" in the Cántabro language. The group continued with albums such as Cerneula (1996), Cántabros (1999), A lo vivu (2001), and La hestoria'l Santu enjamás contá (2007). Luétiga performed at numerous festivals, including the Turin Popular Music Festival in 1988 and the Festival Intercéltico de Ortigueira in 1995 and 1999.
