Dangerfields create a sound that could be defined as a mixture of post-punk, shoegaze and dream-pop.
After nearly a year of preparation, Dangerfields started playing shows in April 2016 and have garnered a reputation for their intense, energetic performances and attention to detail within every aspect of their live show and their songwriting. They released their first EP called “Embers” in June 2016, and a follow up called "Ashes" in April 2017. Both EP received critical acclaim and are available on all major streaming services.
The members have all played for other established bands such as the Pretty Blue Guns, The Very Wicked, Retro Dizzy and Loveglove Pyrotechnics. With their combined experience and skill they create a sound that is equal parts upbeat and intense, as well as dreamlike and nostalgic. The band draws influence from post-punk legends such as Joy Division and The Cure and international festival favourites The Horrors, Diiv and The War on Drugs.
