HanaHana, a Japanese musical duo consisting of Izumi Kojima and Makiko Ono, formed in 1998. The duo, who composed their own songs and played piano and keyboards, debuted with the single "Kotatsu To Te Gani No Maki" in November 1998. Their breakthrough came with the release of their second album 2 Souls in October 2000, which peaked at Number two on the Oricon charts. The album spawned two top-10 singles: "Sayonara Daisuki Na Hito" and "Ah Yokatta (setagaya mix)". Throughout their career, HanaHana released six albums and a dozen singles under Warner Music Japan. Notable releases include Spice in September 2001 and the mini-album Haraiso in December 2010. The duo's discography also includes compilations such as Foot Orint - HanaHana Works 2000-2003, released in August 2003, which compiled their works from 2000 to 2003. After disbanding in 2003, both members pursued solo projects: Makiko Ono joined Onko-Meibi and released the album Onko-Meibi in November 2006, while Izumi Kojima released a solo album titled Pictograph. The duo reunited in 2009 and continued to release music until their final album in 2010. Their reunion was marked by the release of the mini-album Haraiso, which included the track "Ah Yokatta (setagaya-mix)" from their earlier EP Ahyokatta (setagaya-mix)* released in April 2009.
