Cat & Calmell are an Australian R&B duo based in Sydney. They both met at an after-school program for developing musicians and began writing music together in 2019, inspired predominantly by mainstream pop and video-sharing apps. “Dumbshit,” their debut single, came out in 2020 to critical acclaim, making a considerable impact on the Australian music scene as well as receiving heavy airplay on Triple J radio. Follow-up single “Dramatic” (2021), a track inspired by the looming climate crisis, did just as well, notching up millions of plays across streaming platforms, earning them an APRA nomination for Most Performed Pop Work. In the months that followed, Cat & Calmell dropped the singles “Jorge” and “Get Old,” which were both included in their 2021 debut EP Life of Mine, as well as a live EP titled Live From Splendour XR, receiving yet another nomination - this time for Best New Artist at the 2022 Rolling Stones Australia Awards. Dropping three new singles in 2023: "Overstimulated," "Feel Alive," and "Wasting Away," the duo released their long-anticipated debut album How Do You Feel? on September 29, 2023.
