Growing up in the southwestern part of France, Estelle discovered her two passions at a very young age: singing and dancing, and very organically started organizing shows for her own personal captive audience. She joined a choir and attended solfege class, then started with piano lessons. Time went by and her dream to become a singer never left her. Once she arrived in Paris for her undergraduate studies, she decided to attend the Dance Center of the Marais. Guided by her teacher Selima Al Khalaf, Estelle learned to steady her voice, gained the basics in classical singing, and let her voice break free. She then continued her training in Hamburg, namely at the Powervoice academy to perfect her technique in classical singing. After that she completed a few courses at the Manufacture Chanson academy in Paris and attended song-writing workshops, including that of Chantal Grimm, and discovered what the inside of recording studios looked like. In 2004, she moved to Zurich and continued perfecting her voice with the help of Daniela Sarda, Joana Aderi and Brigitte Wulliman. Then fully “settled” in Switzerland, she continued her European “tour” while participating in training contests, and even took part in the masterclass “Chante ou bien” sponsored by Francis Cabrel. There, Estelle rubbed elbows with successful lyricist Frédéric Kocourek, who worked closely with Natasha Saint-Pier, Isabelle Boulay, Rock Voisine, Michael Jones, etc.
