Bio
Robert von Heeren, 1964, studied for eight years (1983-1991) classical music with classical guitar and piano at the Berufsfachschule für Musik in Plattling and the Richard Strauss Konservatorium Munich in Bavaria, Germany. In 1990 he passed the 1st state examination as a state-certified music teacher and as best of his class. Subsequently, Robert taught hundreds of children and young people at Bavarian music schools for almost two decades. In 2005 he finished his music school career and switched to IT as a web developer and later online marketing expert. In the last ten years Robert has studied and learned over 800 classical piano works with a focus on the romantic period (Schumann, Schubert, Liszt, Grieg etc.), which he has also recorded and produced. Some of which he published on four double CDs, more are intended for publication on CD and music streaming platforms.
As a trained musician, a faithful interpretation of the score is particularly important to me. Composers like Schumann have not only mastered their craft but have also written down everything necessary for correct interpretation in the score. I try to put myself as well and as exactly as possible into the score and the musical “plot” of the pieces without adding or removing anything. Mannerisms, arbitrary tempo fluctuations or any other display of the "individual note" etc. are generally not my thing.
My motto: If you play what you have in the score with your mind and feelings, the music will emerge by itself.
