Danish guitarist and songwriter Andreas Lund is an artist who approaches his art with great sincerity and dedication. Lund’s eponymous debut album (2011) was inspired by friends, family, and musical heroes. The album features several established musicians from the Danish music scene — a scene upon which Andreas was already making his name known as an extraordinarily skilful guitarist.
Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, Andreas Lund has been performing, and touring with some of the greatest contemporary Danish acts, and has been widely used as a session guitarist both in his home country and internationally. Lund’s second solo album, Take Off, was released in 2017 and showcased his great range as a songwriter as well as his craftsmanship.
Lund’s most recent single was released in November 2020. The song, Newcastle Upon Tyne, is an ode to Mark Knopfler who has served as a continuous artistic inspiration throughout Andreas Lund’s entire musical life.
Lund has a distinct sound and melodical feel that makes his songs instantly recognizable to the listener. And while vocal guests were allowed some of the hooks on the first album, Lund’s guitar has been ubiquitous in recent years.
