Biografie

Formed in 2012 in Sydney, Australia, Stand Atlantic chased down Top 40 success in the band's homeland with a peppy, polished spin on pop punk music. Frontwoman Bonnie Fraser and bassist David Potter quickly emerged as the group's leaders, and Stand Atlantic made its official debut with the 2012 single "Bulletproof Vest." A second track, "Romeo," was released in 2013, with both songs appearing on the debut EP Catalyst later that year. Catalyst was released under the band's original name, What It's Worth, with the musicians adopting the Stand Atlantic moniker in early 2014. After releasing a second EP, A Place Apart, in 2015, Stand Atlantic signed with the California-based punk label Hopeless Records and released the debut album Skinny Dipping in 2018. The record failed to chart in Australia, but Stand Atlantic had already risen toward the top of the continent's pop-punk community, thanks to a number of Australian tours alongside genre leaders like New Found Glory and Knuckle Puck. The band's second album, Pink Elephant, arrived in August 2020 and proved to be a commercial success, peaking at Number 23 on the ARIA Albums Chart on the strength of singles like "Jurassic Park" and "Drink to Drown." F.E.A.R. followed in 2022, featuring the collaborative singles "Deathwish" (with American rapper Nothing,Nowhere) and "Part Party" (with American indie-pop artist Royal & the Serpent). The album debuted at Number 10, marking the band's commercial peak in Australia.
