The American rapper King Iso was born Tarrel Gulledge into a military family in the USA in 1989. After numerous moves, the family settled in the city of Omaha in the US state of Nebraska. There, the musician came into contact with hip-hop through his stepfather and began making his own music at the age of 13. He was inspired by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, among others. In addition to music, he was also involved in gang activities in his youth, whereupon he spent some time in prison and lived on the streets as a homeless person for a time after his release. Before adopting his stage name King Iso, he performed under the name Reali-T, under which he released the mixtape T-Virus in 2013 and Project Iso a few months later. After further releases, King Iso made his musical breakthrough in 2015 with the album Insanity Plea and officially changed his name to King Iso. The following year, he met rapper Tech N8ne, who had come to see one of his performances in Kansas City. Tech N8ne was enthusiastic about King Iso and together they created the track "Bad JuJu" on Tech N9ne's album Planet (2018). in 2018, the successful album Dementia was released with tracks on which the musician collaborated with Rittz, Tech N9ne and Rittz. In early 2022, the album Get Well Soon was released with the song "Today".
