The shimmering surf coast, pink-tinged sunsets, long campfire nights, and a summer that won’t end – this is the sound of Timo Pankau. In Pankau’s world, heart-on-sleeve storytelling meets commanding lyricism: energetic acoustic pop-folk driven by guitar, loops, harmonica, didgeridoo and sparkling vocals. Living the vanlife and touring the better part of the last decade solo throughout Australia, New Zealand and Europe, three consecutive summers along the beach-studded Australian East Coast made Pankau an integral member of the Byron Bay scene alongside rising stars like Ziggy Alberts and Kyle Lionhart His compass has since pointed back to Berlin where he’s chiseling away on a long-awaited studio EP.
