Sam Griffin Owens, known professionally as Sam Evian, is an American singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer. Based in New York, Evian began his music career by signing with Saddle Creek Records in 2016 and releasing his debut album Premium. The lead single from this album, "I Need a Man", was premiered by Stereogum. In 2018, Sam Evian released his second album You, Forever, which featured contributions from Kazu Makino of Blonde Redhead on the song "Next to You". His third album, Time to Melt, was released under Fat Possum Records in October 2021. His fourth album, Plunge, was released in March 2024.
