This is an experimental progressive rock band from Guatemala. The power trio was formed in 2008. Funk, punk, blues, and psychedelia are the main influences that collide and explode in live concerts. The band offers an energetic rock show, odd meters, dramatic breaks, melting guitar melodies, bass and drums solos. The live sets are a full instrumental music experience. Darwin Cabrera defines the time signatures on drums, César Roulet builds catharsis with raw and ethereal sounds on guitar. And Vini Wunderlich follows the drums tightly and keeps the groove flowing on bass.
Laniakea is the debut album of the band. The album was recorded thanks to CREA (Departamento de Apoyo a la Creatividad del Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes de Guatemala). Was released in 2015 in Los Angeles, California. In Guatemala was released in 2016. The album is a compilation of different life experiences over the years.
After the release of the album Regalado left the band. Yerimkala´s bass man and front man, Vini Wunderlich, became afterwards Humus Fuga new bassist. The band is touring and promoting their first studio album “Laniakea” while new music for second album is cooking.
