Les Fanflures Brass Band

Les Fanflures Brass Band is a brass band from Toulouse, France, formed in 2013 by Gabriel Ray after a trip to New Orleans in 2013. Inspired by New Orleans-style brass bands, they combined jazz with funk, hip-hop, and soul influences, incorporating French vocals into their music. The group initially performed covers of New Orleans funk before releasing their debut album Dans ta face! in 2016. This album featured both cover songs and original compositions and was listed among the 10 French Jazz Albums You Absolutely Must Hear by Les Inrocks and Citizen Jazz. The band's subsequent release, "Work Together", released in October 2017, included a French hip-hop slam cover of Saïan Supa Crew's "Angela", which aired on FIP and Open Jazz with Alex Dutilh.
