The Icelandic band Kaleo was founded in Mosfellsbær in 2021 and consists of the four members Jökull Júlíusson, Davíð Antonsson, Rubin Pollock and Daníel Ægir. The rock-blues-folk music group made their first appearance at the Iceland Airwaves music festival at the end of 2012 and became known throughout Iceland in 2013 with their cover of the Icelandic song "Vor í Vaglaskógi". This was followed in the same year by further singles such as "Rock 'n' Roller", "Glass House", "Automobile" and "Broken Bones", which can be found on the album Kaleo. Kaleo became better known internationally in 2014 with the song "All the Pretty Girls". The song was viewed more than 28 million times on Spotify and reached number 24 in the US rock charts. After Kaleo signed a record deal with US label Atlantic Records in 2015, the band moved to Austin. Their second album A/B was released in summer 2016 and climbed to number 9 in Germany, number 6 in Switzerland and number 2 in the charts in Canada. Prior to this, the single "Way Down We Go" was released in 2015, which reached number 6 in Germany, number 4 in France and number 10 in Switzerland. In 2017, Kaleo performed as a support act on the Rolling Stones' NO FILTER Tour.
