Artist and songwriter Sarah von Reis, born in Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden started practicing music in the local youth choir at age twelve. Musical influences from her childhood home consisted of a wide span from Pink Floyd, Queen and Toto to Swedish Bo Kaspers Orkester, Kent and folk songs. Swedish acts like The Ark and Håkan Hellström dominated her teen years. She went on to study music in high school, specializing in jazz, pop and rock at Donnergymnasiet in Gothenburg.
In her early twenties, von Reis studied musical theater at The Ballet Academy of Gothenburg. After graduating and a few years spent freelancing as a singer, dancer and actress she decided to focus on music and developing her songwriting skills as she was signed to Universal Music Sweden and pop group Dolly Style in 2016. von Reis took part in writing several songs for the group like Glitter and Bye Bye Bby Boo. With the group, von Reis did nation wide tours and has been seen in Swedish television shows like Så Ska Det Låta!, Lotta på Liseberg and Sommarkrysset. She is one of the creators of Dolly Style's Youtube channel with millions of views. After breaking with the group in 2018 she spent the following year in the studio, writing and creating her sound, resulting in debut single Anti Gravity (No One's Daughter) that starts of the solo project. The sound is described as dark, dreamy and elegant pop.
