Pianist Sladjana Gajić is currently releasing Satie’s complete piano works, via The state51 Conspiracy. The series is a fascinating journey through Satie’s creative evolution and contains a diverse range of works - including theatrical works, dances, orchestral works and incidental music.
Since 2009, Sladjana has performed with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra as a pianist and celesta player. With this ensemble, she has performed alongside internationally renowned performers and conductors, such as Mihail Jurovsy, François Leleux, Vadim Repin and Iliana Isakadze. She has also frequently performed in the Philharmonic’s chamber concerts and participated in masterclasses for young musicians and conductors. She is a member of the piano quintet "L'Arsenic" alongside string players from the Philharmonic.
Sladjana was born in Belgrade and started learning the piano when she was nine. Her family’s deep ties to classical music helped her build her musical skills and encouraged her to finish music high school in three departments: piano, theory and voice. She completed her Undergraduate and Masters degrees at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. Since 1995, Sladjana has taught at Belgrade’s Stanković Music School and the Academy of Fine Arts; receiving many accolades and high awards for her pedagogical work. Her work as an accompanist and soloist in the "Collegium Musicum" and "Obilić" choirs has ensured her participation in numerous international cultural events.
