Spiritual Conscious Reggae Music
A spiritual conscious reggae music project initiated by Texito Langa, during the mid 90's in Maputo, as an answer to the urgent need of spreading the messages of spiritual domain to the world, aiming at rescuing and revitalizing the seemingly lost human values to heal our current society thru the medium of sound vibration.
Songs like Be a better person, Reactions, from Mighty's debut album introspective, urge personal growth and awareness of our individual responsibility to achieve our common goal of general and interpersonal well-being. Songs like Don't waste your time, We don't belong here also from introspective, work as reminders of the temporary nature of our lives in this world and call for the awakening of our original identity as spiritual beings who are having a temporary human experience.
Mighty's Reggae has influences of Jazz, Rock, Traditional African Music and world music in general. Bands and Artist like Peter Tosh, Black Uhuru, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Midnite/Akae Beka, Steel Pulse etc, are some of the major influences when it comes to Reggae.
