Slow Crush

Slow Crush is a Belgian shoegaze band formed in 2016 and based in Leuven. The group is known for blending ethereal atmospheres with heavy, distorted guitars and emotionally charged vocals, drawing on shoegaze, dream pop, grunge and post-hardcore textures to create a sound that is both immersive and intense. The band quickly gained recognition with their debut EP Ease in 2017, which introduced their dense guitar layers and reverb-soaked melodies, setting the stage for their full-length work. In 2018 they released their debut album Aurora, which was met with critical acclaim in the modern shoegaze scene for its shimmering yet crushing balance between melody and noise, and helped them tour extensively across Europe and North America. The band now composed of singer/bassist Isa Holliday, guitarists Jelle Ronsmans and Jeroen Jullet, and drummer Frederik Meeuwis recorded the sophomore album Hush (2021), refined their approach with darker atmospheres, more intricate songwriting and a heightened emotional weight, confirming their place as one of the most prominent new shoegaze acts of the past decade.  After the release of the live recording AB Session (2021), they followed with Thirst (2025).
