Biography

M Huncho is a hip-hop performer from North London in England who hides his identity behind a balaclava mask. Championing a psychedelic-tinged brand of trap self-dubbed as “trapwave,” the unknown performer played at local venues and gained attention when he appeared on an Internet show called *Mad About Bars*. The single *“Broken Homes”* with Plug and Nafe Smallz went to Number 38 on the Official U.K. Singles chart in 2018 and his debut EP, *48 Hours*, peaked at Number 68 on the Official U.K. Albums chart in 2018, with tracks including *“Calm Days,” “Elevation,” “Council Flat,”* and *“I Ain't Fussed.”* Subsequent track *“Birds”* reached Number 97 on the Official U.K. Singles chart upon its release in March 2019 and was closely followed by debut mixtape *Utopia*, which reached Number 13 on the UK Albums Chart. The following year, he dropped his second mixtape *Huncholini The 1st*, reaching Number 5 in the UK propelled by singles *“Thumb,” “Bando Ballads,”* and *“Pee Pee.”* More success ensued as *DNA,* his collaborative mixtape with Nafe Smallz, made it to Number 6 on the UK Albums Chart and lead single *“5AM”* reached Number 25 on the UK Singles Chart. 2022 saw the release of his debut full-length,* Chasing Euphoria,* which shot to Number 5 on the U.K. Albums chart and featured guest spots from homegrown stars including Giggs, Headie One and Wretch 32.
