After dropping out of Michigan State University to focus on a career in the music industry, Grant Kweicinski – who records under the stage name GRiZ - released his debut album End Of The World Party in 2011. His skills as a DJ/songwriter had been honed performing as a DJ at frat house parties on the university campus and upon the release of the album - which he released free to everyone – he soon found himself performing support slots for artists such as Bassnectar, Gramatik, and Big Lights. The exposure gave him the confidence to start his own label, All Good Records and subsequently release four more albums: Mad Liberation (2012), Rebel Era (2013), Say It Loud (2015), and Good Will Prevail (2016). GRiZ became active in the not-for-profit sector, promoting bands and music across a wide range of genres to promote charitable causes. He also started a non-profit called 12 Days of GRiZMAS, which helped to raise money for charitable causes. He released his sixth album, Ride Waves, in 2019 and followed that with a series of live streams during the COVID-19 pandemic. A prolific artist, GRiZ also released a series of mixtapes – including the four-part Chasing the Golden Hour series and ID Bible (2023) – and EPs such as the seven-part series and Ouroboros (2023), which contained the hit single “In This World.” His 2023 single “Ecstasy of Soul”(with Zeds Dead) climbed to number 19 on Billboard’s Dance and Electronic Songs chart.
